ø100 tubular luminaire for process and storage zones at extremely cold temperatures down to -60°C

With the BERING X-Cold VLT, Sammode has combined its most solid tubular housing with an LED source designed for the coldest temperatures, down to -60°C. This luminaire is easy to install thanks to its unpluggable connector, reinforced against freezing temperatures and moisture ingress, and is available in a wide range of lighting levels, with a satin finish or special optics designed for shelving. BERING X-Cold VLT is supplied by a specifically calibrated remote driver compatible with temperature variations. This luminaire remains completely unfazed, even with frequent turning on and off at -60°C!

Designed to provide long-lasting lighting in extreme cold down to -60°C, the Bering X-Cold VLT luminaire incorporates high-efficiency LED modules specifically developed to minimise mechanical stress caused by switching cycles at very low temperatures. Its stainless steel housing, combined with a composite diffuser offering high chemical and mechanical resistance (IK10, even at -60°C), eliminates any risk of shattering and ensures compliance with IFS, BRC and HACCP food safety standards.

Remote electronics, reliability guaranteed

The Bering X-Cold VLT tubular lamp features an LED driver positioned outside the cold zone, providing long-term protection for sensitive components and ensuring 10 years of maintenance-free operation, even under intensive use. Its gradual start-up in under 3 seconds reduces thermal shock and ensures optimum reliability during intensive on-off cycles in extreme environments.

Not affected by large temperature fluctuations

When subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations ranging from 25°C to -60°C, a standard luminaire quickly loses its watertight seal due to thermal contraction of the materials. Thanks to its triple-seal silicone gaskets and its Screw© axial locking system, the Bering X-Cold VLT’s housing remains perfectly watertight, certified to IP68 and IP69K standards, even in the face of significant temperature fluctuations.

A plug-in socket that is completely resistant to frost and damp

The Bering X-Cold VLT luminaire is fitted with a quick-release plug that is protected against frost and moisture ingress. This allows for quick installation and maintenance without interrupting operations.
