Pierre Guariche Collection

Sammode reissues a selection of lighting fixtures designed in the 1950s by one of the leading figures in French design: Pierre Guariche. The designer imagined a complete range, or rather “families” of lighting fixtures: desk lamps, wall lamps, floor lamps, suspension lamps… all designed to meet the specific needs of each space. Offering remarkable ease of use, his creations always conceal the light source and deliver perfectly adapted light, whether for general, ambient, traffic, spot, diffused or reflected lighting.

Sammode’s re-edition of some of these models is no coincidence. For many years now, our aesthetic and technological standards have mirrored those of Pierre Guariche. The affinities are manifold. They have a name: innovation.

Pierre Guariche has designed a wide variety of devices: swiveling pendulums, cantilevers, pivoting or tilting jibs, articulated arms with ball-and-socket joints and counterweight spheres… With him, there are no superfluous stylistic effects, no detail that is not justified both technically and functionally. He laid the foundations for a radical, even avant-garde, formal language: on the one hand, clean lines and unprecedented shapes; on the other, an innovative technical approach and a keen understanding of materials, especially metal.

As a designer and manufacturer, Sammode brings to this collection all its industrial expertise in the manufacture of lighting fixtures, with particular attention to the precision of lighting and the mastery of metalwork. Respectful of the original design and incorporating current technologies, Sammode, Pierre Guariche models benefit, like all our lighting fixtures, from impeccable manufacturing quality and exclusively French production.
