Tabletop light cubes
The G60 and G61 tabletop light cubes could bring light to any bedside table in a secondary suite, an entrance hall table in a flat, a lounge TV unit, a hotel room headboard, a dining room sideboard, an office desktop, a bookshelf, a lounge coffee table or a bar counter, etc.
The G60 with its sleek lines, was designed by Pierre Guariche in his usual style in 1959, along side its twin sister, the G61. A light cube stands proudly on its four classy brass feet. These geometric luminaires (available in two sizes) are easy to fit in on a table top, dresser or desk, providing lighting while adding a great contemporary touch to your interior design.
Pierre Guariche has left an inheritance filled with sleek luminaires in the form of wall lights, suspended light fittings, ceiling lights, floor lamps, desk lamps, etc. Guariche luminaires are compatible with any application or any site, whether you need a well-lit space with an eye-catching design or a discreet wall light blending into the architecture. What do all these creations have in common? They are quite simply timeless.
Pierre Guariche (1926 – 1995) was a prolific interior designer and architect during the post-war period and is now considered an icon in the world of French design. Functional objects with sleek lines are his trademark. The luminaires he designed in the 1950’s are identified with a simple G and a number in a surprisingly modern manner. Each model conceals a hub of light technology, guaranteeing optimal visual comfort.
The black and white G60 table lamp is designed to add an elegant touch with its sleek lines. The halo diffused by its E27 LED bulb filters through the translucent PMMA cover with its curved edges. The black metal panels contrast nicely with the brass feet and white housing.
The G61 is the twin sister to the G60 and swaps the black metal panels for an all-white housing. The lacquered perforated white metal allows a cosy light to filter through, adding a poetic touch. Thanks to its timeless design and the cosy luminous environment it creates, this lamp is highly functional and decorative, adding that final touch to contemporary interior decors.
