Multi-functional table lamp
Whether standing on your bedside cabinet or suspended, the M3 luminaire could light up any headboard in an adult’s bedroom, an architect’s drawing board, the table in the entrance area of a contemporary villa, a dining room sideboard, media library corridors, a desk in a child’s bedroom, a coworking area, the bedside cabinet in a hotel suite, and much more.
The French designer, Michel Mortier, created the M3 table lamp in 1952. An elegant curvy black metal tube supports the colourful shade. Thanks to the 335° swivel head, the light can be directed where needed, either upwards or downwards. Convert your table lamp into a wall light using the smart wall-mounting system. A sleek multi-purpose lamp.
Back in the 1950’s, Michel Mortier designed some iconic French products during the post-war period. As a fervent believer in functionalism, he revolutionised home lighting with his luminaire collections signed with a symbolic ‘M’. Sammode successfully re-issued its headline models equipped with current technology, but with that same old traditional feel, a pretty ambitious feat!
As Pierre Guariche’s sidekick, Michel Mortier (1925-2015) was also a pioneer in the world of French industrial design in the 1950's. Not only did he graduate from the higher school of applied arts of Paris, this artistic specialist can turn his hand to anything. He impresses both by his skills in interior architecture as well as his background in design, graphics, artistic productions, journalism and teaching. His trademark? An elegant design with sleek lines.
The M3 table lamp took shape in 1952, concealing a multi-functional smart light in a seemingly ordinary design (at first sight). This all-steel stand with its elegant curvy black tube supports the swivelling shade, available in 4 colours: cream, grey, black and red. The stand can be converted into a wall light thanks to a convenient fastening hook, leaving you free to hang or place your lamp wherever suits you best.
