Michel Mortier Collection

In 1952, Michel Mortier invented the M3 desk lamp, also available as a wall lamp. The subtly designed two-tone lacquered metal shade competes in elegance with the carefully curved brass tube base.

It’s no coincidence that Sammode has chosen to reissue this luminaire today. For many years, our formal and technical standards have been in line with those of Michel Mortier. It also echoes the approach of another renowned designer, Mortier’s friend and collaborator: Pierre Guariche, whose extensive collection Sammode is already reissuing. Michel Mortier and Sammode share many affinities. They have a name: innovation.

For this re-edition, Sammode has mobilized all its industrial know-how, in particular its mastery of light and its expertise in metalworking. Respecting the original design while incorporating current technologies, Sammode’s M3 lamp stands out for its remarkable craftsmanship and French manufacturing.
