The Tereos bioethanol plant in Lillebonne, Normandy, is a strategic industrial site dedicated to the production of biofuels from cereals, mainly wheat. With an annual processing capacity of 840,000 tonnes of wheat, it produces around 250,000 tonnes of bioethanol, helping to reduce CO₂ emissions in the transport sector.
To meet the demands of a complex industrial environment, subject to difficult conditions such as humidity, corrosion and temperature variations, the lighting was redesigned to ensure safe and efficient operations. Robust, moisture-resistant luminaires were installed in the plant’s various zones. Their tubular, watertight design guarantees optimum protection against infiltration, essential in an environment exposed to liquid splashes and climatic variations.
Thanks to LED technology, these devices reduce energy consumption and maintenance requirements, while providing constant, glare-free light. This solution optimizes maintenance operations and improves on-site safety, by guaranteeing clear visibility in all production areas.
With this adapted lighting, the Lillebonne plant reinforces its commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability, while guaranteeing a safe working environment for its teams.
