Lighting for the Leonardo Campus library

The Leonardo Campus Library at the Politecnico di Milano, designed by Renzo Piano and Ottavio Di Blasi, combines contemporary architecture with large, light-filled spaces. Vast bay windows let in natural light, creating a pleasant setting conducive to study.

To extend this atmosphere, Sammode luminaires were installed in the reading and working areas. Their tubular design blends discreetly into the architecture, providing soft, even light. The lighting was designed to enhance user comfort: well-distributed, the light reduces visual fatigue, encourages concentration and makes long reading sessions more enjoyable.

In work areas, the lighting is optimized to avoid glare and reflections, ensuring that documents are easy to read. The robust, high-performance luminaires enable students and researchers to work in a bright, comfortable environment, whatever the time of day.

At the Leonardo Campus Library, light is not only functional: it also contributes to the well-being of users and helps to create a studious, soothing atmosphere.
