Lighting for the Elf Atochem Lavera refinery

The Lavéra refinery, located on the Mediterranean coast near Martigues, is one of the largest industrial facilities in southern France, with a processing capacity of around 210,000 barrels per day. Historically operated by Elf Atochem, it is now part of the petrochemical complex managed by Petroineos, a joint venture between INEOS and PetroChina.

In such a demanding industrial environment, lighting plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient operations. Luminaires have to withstand extreme conditions, including humidity, corrosion, temperature variations and potentially explosive atmospheres.

Sammode luminaires, renowned for their robustness and durability, are particularly well suited to these environments. Their stainless steel tubular design offers exceptional resistance to corrosion and the chemical agents present in processing areas. What’s more, these luminaires are designed to operate reliably in extreme temperature and humidity conditions, guaranteeing constant, safe lighting.

By adopting these adapted lighting solutions, the Lavéra refinery reinforces its commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability, while guaranteeing a safe working environment for its teams.
