Not all white light is the same, depending on the colors that make it up. For example, a white with a higher proportion of red will appear warmer than a white with a higher proportion of blue. To classify the different types of white light, the concept of color temperature is used. It is defined as the temperature of a black body, measured in kelvin (K), whose light emitted on heating (from red at 1000 K to blue at 10,000 K) gives the same impression of color as the light source. Thus, the higher the color temperature, the colder white light appears.
The color of the light has a direct effect on the comfort of the lighting ambience in a space. For our interior lighting solutions, we offer 2700 K, 3000 K and 4000 K versions of all our LED ranges.
