With “Squaring the circle”, Sammode takes over an iconic Danish landmark for the 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, from June 18 to 20, 2025, to present its new Quadratube by Wilmotte collection.
A must-attend event for Scandinavian and international design for over 10 years, 3 Days of Design showcases the latest trends through exhibitions, conferences and installations. This year, French lighting manufacturer Sammode returns after its last participation in 2020.
Bordering the King’s Garden (Kongens Have), the Kronprinsessegade pavilions, designed by architect Peter Meyn and inspired by the neoclassical architecture of the Pont Neuf in Paris, were once home to exceptional craftsmen. These spaces, restored by the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces, are now dedicated to contemporary designers.
In Pavilion 3, Sammode will be presenting its exclusive Quadratube collection in Scandinavia, designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Launched in Milan in 2024, Quadratube revisits Sammode’s iconic luminous tube, created in 1968. Its elegant, rectangular lines explore new uses to fit in with the most contemporary projects.
Visitors can also discover pieces from the Originals collection, inherited from the original industrial luminaires, as well as models from the Paname collection, created in collaboration with the duo Normal Studio, who also designed the scenography.
With its Danish partner Møller & Rothe, Sammode’s “Squaring the circle” celebrates French design, light and expertise, in a setting that combines heritage and modernity.
Date :
June 18 to 20, 2025
The exhibition will run until the end of August.
Location:
Sammode // Kronprinsessegade 3 – 1306 København – Denmark
