Sammode lights Archi-Folies as part of the 2024 Olympic Games

Sammode, a French lighting designer and manufacturer for almost a century, has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by sponsoring the Archi-Folies event at La Villette. This event, which celebrates the union of sport and architecture alongside the Olympic Games, benefits from lighting by Sammode.

An eco-responsible contribution

For this year's Archi-Folies, Sammode deployed 124 luminaires made from recycled materials. This equipment, initially installed at the Jean Bouin stadium and in various Paris offices, was carefully dismantled, reconditioned and, in some cases, converted to LED technology. This approach to reusing and optimising resources demonstrates our commitment to preserving the environment.

Architectural and functional lighting

Sammode luminaires were used to light the signage, traffic areas and several pavilions of the sports federations present at Archi-Folies.

Thanks to their performance and quality, these lights add both an aesthetic dimension and optimum functionality to the event, highlighting the architectural structures while ensuring the safety and comfort of visitors.

For many years, Sammode has supported the world of architecture and culture through sponsorship and partnerships with universities, museums and cultural institutions. In particular, Sammode has highlighted several areas of the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris. It is also a regular partner of the Pavillon de l'Arsenal, the Palais de Tokyo and the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, as well as the Villa Noailles art centre in Hyères, to name but a few.

By becoming a patron of Archi-folies, Sammode has sought to renew its commitment to architecture through a unique and carefully crafted scenography designed to sublimate the work of ENSA students through the use of light.

In detail, Sammode supplied luminaires for the façade lighting of the pavilions, the signage (school name/sports federation), the deck lighting, the general lighting of the pavilions and the scaffolding for Archi-folies, a complete ephemeral urban lighting project.
