Sammode lights Archi-Folies for the 2024 Olympic Games

Sammode, French designer and manufacturer of lighting fixtures for almost a century, has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by sponsoring the Archi-Folies event at La Villette. This event, which celebrates the union of sport and architecture alongside the Olympic Games, benefits from lighting by Sammode.

An eco-responsible contribution

For this year’s edition of Archi-Folies, Sammode deployed 124 re-used lighting fixtures. This equipment, initially installed at the Jean Bouin stadium and in various Paris offices, was carefully dismantled, reconditioned and, in some cases, converted to LED technology. This approach to recycling and optimizing resources demonstrates our commitment to preserving the environment.

Architectural and functional lighting

Sammode luminaires were used to illuminate signage, circulation areas and several pavilions of the sports federations present at Archi-Folies.

Thanks to their performance and quality, these lights bring both an aesthetic dimension and optimum functionality to the event, highlighting the architectural structures while ensuring the safety and comfort of visitors.

For many years, Sammode has supported the world of architecture and culture through sponsorship and partnerships with academic, museum and cultural institutions. In particular, Sammode highlighted several areas of the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris. It is also a regular partner of the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, the Palais de Tokyo and the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, as well as the Villa Noailles art center in Hyères, to name but a few.

In becoming a patron of Archi-folies, Sammode has renewed its commitment to architecture through a unique, carefully crafted scenography designed to sublimate the work of ENSA students through the use of light.

In detail, Sammode supplied luminaires for façade lighting for the pavilions, signage (school name/sports federation), deck lighting, general lighting for the pavilions and scaffolding for Archi-folies, a complete ephemeral urban lighting project.
