Lighting the Buren columns

The Crédit Lyonnais head office, also known as the Hôtel des Italiens, is an emblematic monument to Parisian commercial architecture of the XIXᵉ century. Located in the IIᵉ arrondissement of Paris, the building is distinguished by its Haussmannian style and its innovative metal structure for the time, built in part by the workshops of Gustave Eiffel.

As part of the enhancement of this architectural heritage, façade lighting plays a crucial role. Lighting solutions have been carefully selected to highlight architectural details such as sculpted pediments, caryatids and skylights, while respecting the building’s historic aesthetic. The aim is to reveal the ornamental richness of the façade and highlight the quality of the materials used, particularly stone and metal.

The discreet integration of the luminaires preserves the visual integrity of the building while ensuring effective lighting. Color temperature and luminous intensity are calibrated to create a warm atmosphere, highlighting the volumes and reliefs of the façade without causing glare. This approach helps to bring this historic heritage back to life, making it a visible and attractive part of the Parisian night landscape.
