For the extension of line 14 of the Paris metro, inaugurated on June 24, Sammode is lighting the tunnels of line 14 for RATP and Société du Grand Paris. This strategic new line now links Orly airport to the heart of the capital in record time, just a few days before the opening of the Paris Olympic Games. Since July 26, millions of visitors have been able to use this line to reach the Olympic venues.
To meet the dual requirements of aesthetics and technical performance, Sammode has designed customized lighting solutions for two complementary types of installation: tunnel lighting, with over 14 kilometers of track equipped, and architectural lighting for new stations, such as L’Haÿ-les-Roses.
In tunnels, the high-performance LED luminaires developed by Sammode guarantee reliable, uniform and safe lighting for train traffic. Designed to withstand the extreme constraints of this type of environment – shocks, vibrations, dust and humidity – they are supported by robust, watertight enclosures, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. They are guaranteed for 8 years in 24/7 continuous use at 50°C.
In stations, the luminaires blend harmoniously with the contemporary architecture of passenger areas. Their sleek design contributes to the quality of the user experience, providing light that is functional, pleasant and enhancing. The aim: to provide a welcoming, fluid and safe environment for network users.
Manufactured entirely in France, at Sammode’s Vosges plant, these luminaires embody the brand’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance, local lighting. By supporting the extension of line 14, Sammode is confirming its expertise in rail transport infrastructure, serving major urban transitions and international events.
