On the occasion of the Archi-Folies event organized at La Villette alongside the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Sammode is joining forces with a unique initiative celebrating the meeting of architecture and sport. As a patron of this event, Sammode is reinforcing its commitment to architecture, while affirming its desire to offer sustainable and responsible lighting solutions.
Sammode supplied a complete lighting package to meet the functional, aesthetic and environmental requirements of the project. The package includes façade lighting for the pavilions, signage lighting (schools and sports federations), illumination of the central deck, and general lighting for the structures, including scaffolding.
For this year’s edition of Archi-Folies, Sammode deployed 124 re-used lighting fixtures. This equipment, initially installed at the Jean Bouin stadium and in various Paris offices, was carefully dismantled, reconditioned and, in some cases, converted to LED technology. This approach to reuse and optimization of resources demonstrates our commitment to preserving the environment.
Robust and high-performance, the luminaires selected provide optimum lighting quality, adapted to the site’s diverse uses: traffic areas, reception areas, architectural structures. Their iconic tubular design blends harmoniously into a variety of architectural settings, while guaranteeing visual comfort and safety for visitors.
This participation in Archi-Folies is part of Sammode’s ongoing patronage of architecture, culture and education. Sammode regularly supports institutions such as the ENSCI, the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, the Palais de Tokyo, the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine and the Villa Noailles. These collaborations testify to Sammode’s determination to actively contribute to the enhancement of architectural know-how and the dissemination of technically and environmentally exemplary lighting solutions.
