Lighting for the restaurant at the Château de Versailles

The restaurant Ore, housed in the Pavillon Dufour at the Château de Versailles, offers a unique experience where classical architecture meets a contemporary setting. Designed by Dominique Perrault and furnished by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, the space plays on the contrasts between the history of the site and a modern interpretation of its volumes.

The lighting, provided by Sammode luminaires, blends discreetly into this heritage architecture. The tubular lines of the fixtures blend into the mouldings and gilding, revealing details without altering the aesthetic. The light is soft and diffused, designed to accompany the culinary experience without overwhelming the space.

Thanks to LED technology, the luminaires provide even illumination, avoiding glare and preserving the visual comfort of guests. Their robustness guarantees reliable operation, while respecting the constraints of a historic building.

In the Ore restaurant, light highlights the architecture, reveals the materials and creates a hushed atmosphere in harmony with the elegance of the setting. The lighting is just right, precise, accompanying the space without ever dominating it.
