French architect, urban planner and designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte was born in 1948. He set up his own architectural practice in Paris in 1975. Since then, he has continued to develop and diversify his expertise, both in France and abroad. Renowned for the eclecticism of its output and the elegance and quality of finish of its projects, Wilmotte is active in the public and private sectors, in the luxury, hotel, residential and tertiary sectors. It employs 270 people of 31 different nationalities and works in 23 countries.

As a natural extension of the architectural firm's projects, Jean-Michel Wilmotte founded the Wilmotte Industries design studio. Over the past 45 years, he has built up a real reputation in the world of industrial and object design, working with numerous publishers and industrialists throughout the world and particularly in France.

By bringing together the creative forces "made in France", Jean-Michel Wilmotte promotes the development and influence of French manufacturers. In his studio, he strives to adopt his own architectural codes with sober, uncluttered lines, bringing a chic, timeless character to his collections.
