Committed to sustainable and responsible lighting

Médaille ecovadis GOLD Sammode

For nearly a century, Sammode has been designing and manufacturing lighting fixtures that are built to last, evolve and be repaired. Long before CSR became a major issue, the company anchored its values in concrete practices: producing locally, minimising environmental impact and building human relationships based on ethics and knowledge transfer.

Today, Sammode’s CSR approach is based on three pillars:

Produce locally, think circularly, last a long time

Its 100% French manufacturing and short supply chains reduce its carbon footprint and ensure complete traceability. Thanks to high-quality, recycled and recyclable materials, responsible packaging and a design that is dismantlable, upgradeable and repairable, Sammode extends the life of its lighting fixtures, limits waste and reduces resource consumption.

Eco-design for sustainable lighting

From the very first sketches, Sammode designs lighting fixtures that consume less energy and last longer. The company selects recyclable materials, optimises light to provide just the right amount of illumination, and incorporates smart solutions to limit waste. Thanks to its LED kits, even a lighting fixture that has been installed for 30 years can be modernised, thus avoiding new production and significantly reducing CO₂ emissions.

Acting sustainably, passing on knowledge for tomorrow

Sammode’s social commitment goes far beyond the manufacture of lighting fixtures. The company measures and reduces its emissions (target: -20% energy, -25% GHG), promotes responsible purchasing and short supply chains, and places diversity and training at the heart of its management. It invests in the transmission of craftsmanship, develops cultural and scientific partnerships, and prepares future generations for a more sustainable industry.
