Kyhn & Gude : subtle architectural luminaires

Kyhn and Gude luminaires took shape after a highly-successful 30-year partnership between Sammode and the duo, Dominique Perrault & Gaëlle Lauriot Prévost. The tube is housed in a perforated 360° stainless steel louvre. The outer housing of these luminaires with its industrial style contrasts with the mellow and cosy environment created by the lighting.

Dominique Perrault & Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost : an iconic duo

Dominique Perrault stepped onto the French architectural scene by designing the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (France’s National Library). Meanwhile, backstage, the designer Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost managed artistic factors for the Dominique Perrault Architecture agency. This pair worked in partnership with Sammode from the early stages of this emblematic project by creating a range of tubular luminaires.

The Kyhn suspended light fitting is both majestic and yet delicate, and diffuses a pleasant glow over 360%. This model can meet both industrial and architectural expectations, and fits in ideally in any space. Whether indoors or outdoors, this luminaire creates a cosy intimate environment. The Kyhn luminaire is available in two lengths depending on the dimensions of the site and can be mounted as a suspended light fitting, or as a wall or ceiling light.
